Summer Horseback Adventures

Hiland’s location in central Wyoming is in the heart of today's real

life cowboys/cowgirls. We have extended our hunting operation

to include summer activities for the whole family. Join us as

we spend the summer working cattle on horseback as it has been done for years all across the west. If you have always wanted to try your hand as a cowboy or cowgirl, this is for you. Wildlife abounds on the ranch which is located in a spectacular mountain setting. Antelope, Mule Deer and Elk can be spotted while working on horseback. This is the ultimate vacation for the horse lover and the wild at heart!

 

Package #1

 

Arrive Sunday afternoon to our main camp in Hiland, Wyoming. Monday morning, head out to the ranch and get settled into our tent camp. Spend the morning getting familiar with your horse and gear. Enjoy the afternoon riding and looking over the ranch. Tuesday and Wednesday include normal ranch work rounding up cattle on horseback, riding the fence line and repairing fence, branding etc. Late afternoon is open to the guest to plan or enjoy other activities offered on the ranch. Guest can participate in:

** Horseback Riding**

** Trout fishing in our private stocked reservoir**

** Hiking**

** Wildlife Viewing/ Nature Photography **

** Coyote Hunting **

 

This package has  the guest departing Thursday morning.

 

Package #2

 

This package follows the same format as package #1, in additional, the guest will get to help the ranch owners and cowboys with their rodeo company. Travel with us as we put on the Dubois Friday Night Rodeo. This gives the guest a behind the scenes look into the work that goes into putting on a rodeo. This is a great way to enjoy all aspects from behind the scenes to the chutes as the competitors compete for the championship buckle. We feel this package is one of the best Western adventures on the market today!

 

This package has the guest departing Saturday afternoon.

 

*All guest arrive/depart from our main camp in Hiland, Wyoming

*Meals, lodging and guide are included .

*Except for any nights spent in our main camp, all lodging is in

  comfortable wall tents with cots.
