Wyoming license draw
Wyoming license draw
Hunting Licenses in Wyoming are obtained on a computer draw basis. We have all the necessary forms available for these licenses. Elk License applications are due in by January 31st for non-residents. Antelope and Mule Deer License applications are due in by March 15th. Applications for licenses must be accompanied by personal check, money order, or certified check. If you are unsuccessful in the license draw, all of your money will be refunded by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, minus a $14.00 processing fee. Please do not apply for any license without first discussing the type with us, as we will not necessarily hunt the same location from year to year.
Wyoming Game and Fish now has a preference point system. When applying for a license you may buy a point in the instance you fail to draw. This point will give you preference in the next years draw. Points only may be purchased during the months of July, August and September. The points system has worked well for hunters applying for limited draw areas through out the state. The system is favored by sportsmen who plan there hunts in advance, with having the points it is no problem obtaining their license.
After Obtaining the License:
Contact us as soon as possible to schedule date for the hunt
Do NOT sign the carcass tag or landowner coupon attached to the license
Obtain a Wyoming Conservation stamp to validate your license
If you were born on or after January 1, 1966, you will need to have a hunter's safety card
